ABOUT THE LINE
There isn’t a set line with the Pro-Biome Balance Cream but there are two other existing products that compliment the cream really well which I will mention below. They are the Quad Active Boosting Essence and the Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule. Used before the cream, they work together to become a triple power house with anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties that help heal acne.
With two products already in the Propolis line, the people at ByWishtrend thought that they needed a cream to help complete the family and hence the Pro-Biome Balance Cream was born!
Before that, we should touch on one of the cream’s main ingredients, Propolis. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s made by bees from collecting tree/plant resin and sometimes beeswax to repair small cracks in their hives as well as using its antibacterial properties to protect the colony. With that being said, once it was discovered, it had been thoroughly researched and used as a natural remedy for all sorts of skin concerns in the beauty world today!
Getting on board with this amazing ingredient, ByWishtrend wanted to create their own Propolis line of products for their customers to enjoy!
In skincare, Propolis is good for treating acne as it contains powerful antibacterial and antiviral qualities that help treat, heal and prevent future outbreaks from occurring. It also helps promote skin-cell production and elasticity which is great for healing any post-acne scarring that may have occurred. Such a great little gem with such great properties! We also have to give credit to the bees for creating this, so thank you bees! 🐝💛

Now moving onto the product itself, the NEWEST to join the ByWishtrend family is the Pro-Biome Balance Cream. Described as lightweight and refreshing, this cream keeps the skin balanced, hydrated and soothed while it’s great in strengthening the skin’s barrier.

There are 3 main ingredients that make up this cream and they are:
- Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate
- Propolis Extract
- Pro-Biome Complex

Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate
Derived from the microorganism Lactobacillus, it is a lab-created and non-living ingredient that is shown to have intense soothing effects that strengthens the skin’s barrier. There’s 70% Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate in this cream and is one of it’s main ingredients! It also keeps the skin’s microbiome (the skin’s ecosystem) in balance (the good and bad bacteria essential for the skin to thrive) hence why balance is in the product’s name haha. The imbalance in the skin’s microbiome results in the occurrence of many skin concerns such as dryness, eczema and breakouts!
After researching about this ingredient made me think back to my eczema struggles for the past 2 years and maybe the imbalance of my skin’s microbiome could have contributed to the flare up of my eczema to happen. If you also struggle with your skin, you might want to consider looking into your skin’s microbiome and see if that is affecting your skin concerns if nothing else is the cause.
Propolis Extract
Another super popular ingredient and is widely known in the skincare world, Propolis! As I mentioned briefly in the ‘ABOUT THE LINE’ section, this power-packed ingredient contains antibacterial and anti-viral properties that help future breakouts from occurring and with any post-acne scarring that might have occurred as Propolis also helps with skin-cell production and elasticity, essential in healing acne prone skin!
Pro-Biome Complex
This is something that you might have not heard before but this is a unique complex made by ByWishtrend specifically for the Pro-Biome Balance Cream! This has a few terms that sound very complex and science-y so bear with me. It contains a combination of…
- Saccharomyces – helps improve the absorption and decreases skin irritation.
- Honey Ferment Filtrate – hydrates skin and heals wounds.
- Bifida Ferment Lysate – enhances skin immunity and reduces skin dryness.
- Lactococcus Ferment Lysate – maintains balance in skin’s microbiome and strengthens skin’s natural defenses.
These all aid the skin by healing and protecting it from causes like acne, where it thrives on oil blocked pores and bacteria which build up in the follicle on pores.

HOW IT’S USED
This is formulated with a light texture and is suitable for everyday use – both day and night. With it being lightweight, it’s especially nice for the warm Summer months! You would use it like any moisturiser and use it at the end of your skincare routine. I also use it at the end of my skincare routine and it’s perfect to lock in everything you have applied before!
THOUGHTS
I really enjoyed using this cream from the first day! It leans towards the watery side of creams but it really does make your face feel super refreshed and supple! There aren’t any artificial fragrances used but if you are sensitive to smells there is a faint natural scent that is normal so have that in mind if you want to buy it! I initially didn’t like the smell at first cause I’m quite sensitive to scents but I got used to it after a few more uses. This is something to consider if you’re thinking of purchasing it or not.
Initially after application my face felt instantly moisturised which was nice but it absorbed quite quickly so if you’re looking for something super hydrating throughout the day you this might not be the one (I have dry and sensitive skin). However, if you regularly use Propolis in your skincare routine and have acne-prone skin, you might want to try this cream out especially if you want something that feels light and hydrating at the same time. I also love how it comes in a glass jar with a screw lid which is always good in my books! I can’t really comment on any changes long term cause I haven’t used it for long but my face does feel supple and glowy afterwards which is nice and it doesn’t feel weighed down.
